(September, 2011-HOUSTON) Huper Optik USA, a pioneer of the first multilayered, true nano ceramic window film, has hired Ron Jones, LEED AP, as nation manager, effective September 26. Mr. Jones, who brings a wealth of knowledge in the window film and sustainable/energy efficiency arenas, will develop new business among national and commercial accounts looking to save energy.

“I look forward to joining the Huper Optik team and hope I can add to an already talented group. Having the flexibility to help on many levels is a challenge that is definitely exciting. Commercial business development, dealer support, marketing, technical support, etc. In short, I’ll be wearing a lot of hats,” said Jones.

With over 22 years experience in virtually every aspect of window film installation and business development, Jones is expected to make a real connection with existing Huper Optik dealers, whose language he is definitely able to speak. Jones holds the International Window Film Association’s ‘specialist’ designation in the categories of Automotive, Solar Control, Advanced Solar Control and Safety and Security. He is also a regular contributor to Window Film Magazine; his most recent article in the magazine’s May/June issue was titled ‘the Lessons of Light.’ When asked the role window film could play in delivering sustainability to commWindow film has always contributed to sustainability, and it’s getting better all the time. With advancements in technology, it is becoming more and more efficient. Managing visible light for optimal use of controlling solar heat gain from infra red light which we can’t even see. Anytime you better manage energy consumption you are; ‘greening’ the environment.”

When asked the role window film could play in delivering sustainability to commercial accounts, Jones stated “Window film has always contributed to sustainability, and it’s getting better all the time. With advancements in technology, it is becoming more and more efficient. Managing visible light for optimal use of daylighting, while controlling solar heat gain from infra red light which we can’t even see. Anytime you better manage energy consumption you are; ‘greening’ the environment.”

Jones has consulted with large energy service companies on performance contracts and has facilitated the Energy Star partner certification on multiple commercial buildings. A frequent AIA continuing education contributor, Jones’ personal credo is “Do what’s right, not what’s easy.”

“We are delighted to be able to welcome Ron to the Huper Optik family,” said Huper Optik’s National Director of Business Development Harry Rahman. “He will provide value across regions for our dealers and
distributors who want to work with large commercial accounts.”
